Gerald Earl Gillum, better known by his stage name G-Eazy, is an American rapper and record producer from Oakland, California. G-Eazy worked on several singles during his time as a student in college, gaining local recognition as being part of the emerging hip hop scene in East Bay, New Orleans. In 2010 he was given an opportunity to open for major rap artists Lil Wayne and Snoop Dogg, helping to launch his career. In the years since, G-Eazy has attained major success and has released four major label studio albums. His latest project, The Beautiful & Damned was released in December 2017 and debuted at number three on the US Billboard 200, making it his third US top 10 album.
